Guitar Models

Guitars do not only have 1 shape but a lot! The shapes of the guitars are referred to as models. There are different guitar models per playing style, per usability, or both, since each model has its unique sound.

There are guitar models that are good for playing rhythm, and there are also good for playing fingerstyle. Below are our most popular models:

Dreadnought

Dreadnought is one of the most common guitar models. These models have a wider lower bout and deeper body. If your playing style is bass-heavy, then this model is for you.

We usually recommend this model to players who are more on playing rhythm than fingerstyle. Though you can still play fingerstyle with this model, the bass will have a much louder sound.

Orchestra Model

Orchestra Model (OM) guitars feature a medium-sized body with a narrower waist compared to other guitar shapes, which makes it more comfortable to play for extended periods. The shape of the OM guitar is designed to provide excellent projection and a focused mid-range, making it an excellent choice for solo performances or accompanying a singer.

The OM is favored for its balanced and versatile tone, making it suitable for various playing styles, including fingerstyle and Flatpicking.

Classical

Classical Guitar Model

These guitars are primarily used in playing classical music. The neck and string-to-string spacing of this guitar are wider than the steel-string ones, but we can customize the width at the nut to your preference.

Students studying how to play classical music with a guitar should use these types and since the strings are nylon, they’re much friendlier to a beginner’s fingertips.

00-12 Fret

The 00 12-Fret model has a slightly shorter scale length and body length than the OM and Dreadnought. This guitar model is oftentimes called the “parlor” guitar.

The body-neck join of this model is on the 12th fret which moves the soundhole and the bridge lower. With this, the sound is much warmer than the standard 14th fret body-neck join.
